Used Propane Tanks

What a great way to save money. No longer is it necessary to pay the extra charge for a propane tank. Used Propane Tanks are rather inxpensive and they are yours to keep. The first thing to consider is the size. If you will be using the tank for your grill them many of those tanks are small enough to carry and can be placed under your grill. If you are looking to heat your garage then you will need a bigger tank even still. Maybe a 100lb tank or even a 250 lb tank. Your decision will depend on how often you want to refill and how big the area you will be heating and how awrm you want to keep that area.

Used Propane Tanks for the Home

Propane tanks are for more than just heating your home. Many people have propane or LP dryers, stove tops, and ovens as well. You should take that into consideration when buying your protank aswell. Most tanks for the home rank from 500 gallons to 2000 gallons. It can be very costly to fill these up but keep in mind the more you fill the tank up the better price you will receive for your propane gas.

New propane tanks can be purchased or rented from you local LP company but what they are offering is the exact same as a used propane tank. Propane tanks lasts for many many years...as a matter of fact they may last for 100's of years. Generally, any LP company will deliver their tanks free of charge but if you can buy your own tank you may receive a discount as mentioned before.

New small tanks can be found at gas stations, Walmart, hardware stores as well as home improvement stores. Once you have a new grill propane tank, once you use all the fuel in the tank you simply return the tank and they will credit you the tank costs by essentially only charg you for the LP gas the next time. Most of the fittings for small LP tanks are universal but they can be different from large to small tanks so do be aware of that.
